The Picasso Brothers, immigrating from Recco-Italy in the year 1850, settled in Ica founding M. Picasso and Brothers, which was devoted to trade, mining and agriculture. Verifying agricultural areas very similar to their native land, they decided to break away due to success in viticulture, founding Bodegas Vista Alegre in the year 1857.
Since the year 1967 they imported fine varieties for viticulture, specifically; Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Malbec, Tempranillo, Chenin, Pedro Ximenez, Torontol, among others; initiating a new concept in the region of viticulture, with plans for a new winery being designed by Italy, whole strains, fields and cellars that were modernized.
For the demand of today’s domestic and foreign customers, we have planted the finest varieties like Chardonnay, Syrah, and Anchelotta, which are all royalty for wines of the "Highest quality". Today we present Tempranillo, Malbec and Pinot Blanc.
